INGREDIENTS:
Penne 160g (6oz)
Bacon 60g (2oz)
Garlic 1 clove
Red chili pepper 1 pepper
Olive oil 2 Tbsp
White wine 1/4 cup
Del Monte Canned diced tomatoes 1/2 can
Soy Sauce 1 tsp
Parmesan cheese (optional)
Fresh basil leaves (optional)
STEPS:
Boil penne in lightly salted water until al dente. Drain.
Cut bacon into 1cm (1/3 inch) pieces.
Crush and coarsely chop garlic. Remove seeds from chili pepper.
Heat olive oil in fry pan, add ingredients from (3) and saute to bring out aroma.
Add white wine and canned tomatoes to pan, simmer on mid to low heat for 7-8 minutes, then add soy sauce.
Mix in penne from (1). Add salt if needed.
Serve topped with grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
